Mob violence in MP after tusker kills farmer (Bhopal) Times of India February 24, 2024 Two villagers suffered gunshot injuries when a mob clashed with forest personnel and police after a farmer, Gyan Shah, 40, was trampled to death by an elephant in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district late on Thursday. Two cops were also injured when the angry protesters allegedly pelted stones at them. Anuppur SP Jitendra Singh Pawar said, "I have constituted an SIT to probe the incident. The injured police personnel and villagers are stable and out of danger."
