Elephant tramples labourer to death in Khordha Hemanta Pande, Argus May 27, 2023 An elephant killed a labourer on Kamaguru-Mayurjhalia road under Tangi Range in Odisha's Khordha district. The deceased has been identified as Satya Behera, a resident of Natini village under Ranapur police limits in Nayagarh district. As per reports, the jumbo attacked Behera when he along with two other labourers were on their way to dig a well. While Behera was trampled to death by the elephant, two other laborers ran away to save their lives. Locals alerted the Forest Department in this regard. The body was lying on the road for nearly three hours, but no officials reached the spot, locals alleged.
