The Forest Department is currently conducting an operation to locate the
carcass of an elephant that was washed away in the Kumaradhara River near
Kukke Subramanya on Monday, July 15, in the night.

Due to the swift current of the river, the carcass was carried away from
its initial location. Despite intensified search efforts on Tuesday and
Wednesday, authorities have not yet discovered any clues regarding its
whereabouts.

The search operation continued into Thursday. However, adverse flood
conditions have temporarily halted progress.

Officials suspect that the elephant's remains may be trapped at the river
bottom or entangled in the forest undergrowth along the riverbank.

The search remains ongoing as locating the carcass is crucial for further
investigation into the incident.
