Keonjhar: A herd of elephants reportedly took away the stock kept for the Mid Day Meal (MDM) from the school premises and consumed it in Keonjhar district of Odisha. As per reports, a herd of 24 elephants has caused extensive damage to a school in Ambadhara village located in a forest area of Keonjhar. The elephants ate rice and dal after taking it away from the room last night. Before that the pachyderms broke the school wall. Not only that, the elephant herd also reportedly destroyed eggs, oil and cooking utensils that were kept there for the purpose of MDM. The villagers are in a state of panic as elephants have been in the forest near the village since morning today.
