TNEB staff booked over tusker's death (Dharmapuri) Times of India March 20, 2023 Police on Sunday registered a case against Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) personnel for negligence that led to the electrocution of a 27-year-old tusker near Kambinallur. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Chengalpattu-based activist K Manoharan. The tusker was electrocuted when it came in contact with a low-lying HT line while climbing a lake bed near Kambainallur in the district. Kambainallur sub-inspector M Selvaraj said, "The tusker could have been saved if they had checked the live wire properly."
