One dead in Polonnaruwa elephant attack Amani Nilar, News First August 13, 2022 A man has died after being attacked by a wild elephant in Aralagangwila, Polonnaruwa area on Friday (12). He was attacked by wild elephants last night when he was looking out for his plantation. The deceased was identified as a 61-year-old father of three, residing in the Ruhunugama area. Farmers point out that the wild elephants arriving from the Maduru Oya Reserve continue to damage their crops.
