Garhwa man trampled to death by jumbos

A herd of elephants killed a 65-year-old man at Khuri village at Garhwa
district on Sunday. The victim, Chhatradhari Singh, was grazing cattle in
the forest near Chinia police station
area when the incident occurred. Police recovered Singh's mutilated body on
Monday.

The divisional forest officer (DFO) of Garhwa South division, Ebin Benny
Abraham, said, "The family members of the deceased will be provided with
compensation."
