A wild elephant that has strayed out of the woods was found roaming in the human habitat in Kollahalli in Sakleshpur, Hassan district on Saturday. The forest officials have asked people not to venture out of their homes and not to disturb the wildlife, if they come across. The forest officials who are tracking the tusker has alerted those working in coffee estates not to venture out. Elephants straying out of the woods has become a norm these days in Hassan district. The workers, especially those working in coffee estates are upset with these developments as they are not able to go to work. They eke out a living working as labourers in these coffee estates.
