Elephant creates havoc in Bagodar (Bokaro) Times of India July 18, 2024 A lone male elephant, separated from its herd, has caused significant damages in Bagodar area in Giridih district since last three days. The tusker not only damaged houses but also consumed grains stored in homes and shops. According to locals, after wreaking havoc in villages, the elephant entered the urban area of Bagodar on Tuesday night. It rampaged through old GT Road of Bagodar Neeche Bazar. The elephant also consumed grains from a few shops. A forest department official said, “We are keeping an eye on the movement of the elephant and efforts are on to chase it away by sounding sirens and bursting crackers. The elephant had caused destruction in Banpura, Khetko, and Dhawaiya of Bagodar previously.
