Farmer killed in elephant attack in Cox’s Bazar BSS News January 7, 2025 A farmer was attacked and killed by a wild elephant in Kumari Bichainnarchhara area under Lama upazila of the district last night. The deceased was Faridul Alam alias Putu Mia, son of late Ali Ahamed, a resident of Uttar Ghunia Pahartali area under Chakaria upazila of the district. Alam was killed when a male partner of the elephant attacked him before it was electrocuted to death, AKM Ata Elahi, Range Officer of Lama Forest Department confirmed it.
